Appointments
We schedule appointments Monday thru Friday 9:15am to 5:15pm. For all appointments, Dr. Grumet makes every effort to see you at your scheduled time. It is sometimes impossible to avoid delays due to emergencies. While we understand that unforeseen circumstances do arise, if you must cancel your appointment, we ask that you provide us with as much notice as possible, but a minimum of at least 24 hours is required to avoid any charges. It is our policy that if you cancel your appointment outside the 24 hour period, there is a $75 fee applied, which is not covered by insurance. We thank you for your understanding as we try to accommodate all of our patients.
Telephone Calls
Although most significant questions should be brought to Dr. Grumet's attention during your appointment, we understand that you may have questions that you need to ask over the phone. We ask you to leave a message with our office staff and to provide them your daytime, evening and cell phone numbers. Dr. Grumet may not be able to answer your question until later in the day. We try to return all calls within 24 hours, but if it is an emergency, we suggest calling one of the local mental facilities listed below.
Ridgeview Institute (located in Smyrna) - 770.434.4567
Peachford Hospital (located in Dunwoody) - 770.455.3200
Anchor Hospital (located in South Atlanta) - 770.991.6044
Medication Refills
The Physician prescribes sufficient medication to last until the next visit and therefore requests for refills are generally not expected. As a general rule, our office does not call in prescriptions for patients. The Physician expects to see the patient to be sure the prescription is appropriate, to discuss side effects, etc. If an appointment is rescheduled or missed and medication is required, we charge a $35 prescription call in fee. This fee is not covered by insurance and must be paid by the patient before any other services are rendered. Please allow 24 hours for medications to be called in. While we strive to handle all requests as soon as possible, medication requests require the signature of the ordering physician and therefore there may be a delay in processing.
Payment Policy
Unless prior arrangements are made with our office, please be prepared to make a payment at the time of service. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

We participate in many insurance plans including:
Aetna

Medicare/Medicaid is not accepted.
Due to coverage varying widely from plan to plan, we cannot guarantee that your plan will cover your charges. We recommend calling your insurance company before your visit to find out your mental health benefits, which may differ from your regular benefits. It is also very helpful to ask how much your co-pay is per visit and what your balance is for your yearly deductible. Remember you are your own best advocate for any insurance issues. Please note that you are solely responsible for your charges regardless of what your insurance covers, with the exception of a few plans.
If we are out of network with your insurance, we will provide you the proper forms so that you may file a claim on your own behalf.
Please be sure to bring your insurance card to your visit.
